Monday’s AI story of the day on Businessing was a viral video that perfectly captures what’s happening right now with AI and small business.
A woman who had never written a line of code in her life asked Claude to build her a website. A website she’d been trying to get built since 2018. A developer had quoted her somewhere between $15,000 and $25,000. She’d been stuck for years.
Two evenings. Six total hours. Done.
She told Claude what she wanted. Claude built it. She said change this, this, and this. Claude changed it. When she needed to deploy it on GitHub and Railway… two platforms she’d literally never heard of before… Claude walked her through every step. When she got stuck, she told Claude what she was seeing and it said, “Oh, no big deal. We’ll just do this, this, and this. Please enter this exactly.”
Her reaction, which Pat played on the show: “And now the MFer works. So what the F, Claude?”
Pat couldn’t stop grinning. “That’s what’s happening. That’s what’s happening when people finally switch over to using Claude.”
This isn’t a tech story. It’s a business story. A person with zero technical skills sat down with an AI agent and got something done that she’d been quoted five figures for. Not in six months. In six hours. Over two evenings on her couch.
And this is the distinction Pat keeps hammering on the show. A chatbot answers questions. An agent does work. Claude didn’t just tell this woman how to build a website. It built the website, helped her deploy it, troubleshot 15 different problems along the way, and walked her through fixing every single one.
“WTF Claude,” Pat said. “I want a t-shirt that says WTF Claude. That’s the moment that is waiting for you when you finally dive in.”
Pat tied it to the AI Installation Group, his new mastermind for business owners ready to have their own WTF Claude moment. The group launches in early April with AI Slams, a private AI Trendsletter, and direct access to Pat when you get stuck.
The bigger point isn’t about websites. It’s about every task in your business that you’ve been told requires an expert. Some of them still do. But more and more of them? You can sit down with Claude and just… do it.
